Post-Brisbane Updated + Big Print Sale

Well it’s been a big year! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stall at Brisnova, it was the last con I’ll be exhibiting at in 2018. I’ll be back in 2019 for a bunch of conventions and exhibitions in Australia, starting with an exciting announcement for January, so stay tuned!!!

In other news: My online store has been updated with new stock and accurate quantities, and a whole bunch of prints are now as cheap as $5! It’s your last chance to grab something from my Vikings print set, which is being discontinued in 2019.

If you’re in the Geelong area, near Melbourne, you can also head down to the Geelong Illustrators studio gallery at market square on Moorabool street to see some of my prints and originals. We’ll be launching our new magazine soon, which is very exciting!

Finally, thanks so much to everyone who came and hung out and said hi while I was in Rotterdam, Ghent, Basel and London, I miss Europe very much and I hope to be back soon, however I won’t be able to attend any comic cons in Europe in 2019.

Another Big Move! + Brisbane Supanova Announcement

Whoo it’s been a while! And that’s because I’ve moved back over to the other side of the world!

Yup I’m back in Australia again, but on the other side this time. I’m now based in Geelong, Victoria. I had and amazing time in Europe, and I went to some unforgettable cons and met some unforgettable people. I have one last con before the end of the year, and that’s Brisbane Supanova. Brisbane is one of my absolute favourite cities and I can’t wait to go back to the balmy weather and leafy streets! I also have at least two (hopefully more) prints being released at Brisnova next month, as well as a few from my European tour which haven’t been sold in Australia yet. It should be a great time!

Basel's a Fantasy

Gearing up for Fantasy Basel this week! I'll be here at stand 616, on the third floor of Messe Basel. Basel is such a beautiful city, we've been here since Monday, and the whole place is spectacular! If you're in the area, come say hello! I'll be there from Thursday to Saturday :)

New Art + Convention Updates

Hi Guys!

Just a quick update, I've got some new art that's going to be available at Fantasy Basel and MCM London this May, these are my last conventions in Europe this year, as I'll be returning to Australia soon. In addition to these two new pieces, I'll have some old pieces available that I've never sold at cons before, so come check it out, if you're able! :D

Original paintings for sale + Convention announcements

Hello there! Some exciting news from me today, I will be exhibiting and trading at Comic Con Europe: Rotterdam in March! I'll be selling a wide range of prints and postcards, as well as original watercolour paintings and onsite commissions.

In other news, I have just posted a couple of new original art pieces available for purchase from this website! They're both watercolour paintings made using Ecoline liquid watercolours, on heavy-duty aquarelle paper. Pieces like this will be available for sale at Comic Con Europe, and hopefully also at MCM Birmingham and London (I've yet to book these - but they're on my list!)

Princess Leia

Young Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia - Portrait painted in Photoshop CS6 with Wacom Intuos tablet. Total time ~8 hours, compressed to 5.5 minutes. The music is Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-Sharp Minor, Op. 27 No. 2 "Moonlight": I. Adagio sostenuto. By Beethoven.

Full painting will be uploaded to my website soon (there are a couple more things I want to tweak...) I’m going to try to upload more process work and time lapses. Its interesting to watch the time lapse back and see how much of the total time I spend drawing vs. the time I spend detailing and fixing little mistakes. Unfortunately I didn't record the initial planning sketch, but I will definitely remember for next time!
